## Summary

Commercial flower farmers in Jhapa, Nepal, have petitioned the authorities to promote locally grown marigolds in domestic markets and impose restrictions on imported flowers from India. The farmers claim that their unsold marigolds are being left to waste due to the influx of cheaper Indian imports, which they say are undermining local production and threatening the livelihoods of local farmers.
